Maintenance Specialist- Truss & Panel Equipment

A Carter Lumber Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for accurately performing data entry, equipment tracking, maintaining files, and troubleshooting invoice discrepancies. High productivity standards and performing quality work with timely follow-up is required. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position.
Requirements to be Considered for the Position:

  • Excellent customer service and data entry skills
  • Must have a background in electrical and mechanical industrial equipment
  • Ability to interact effectively with departments throughout the corporation
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Responsibilities of the Position:

Equipment Maintenance

  • Enters and maintains many aspects of equipment, primarily truss and panel
  • Communicates and records equipment transfers

Administrative Duties

  • Performs clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning and faxing to assist in keeping the department running smoothly and efficiently
  • Assists in keeping all equipment maintenance files current
  • Assists in communicating with store managers on any maintenance service or billing issues
  • Assists in enforcing policies on vehicle maintenance and reporting based on company policy and Federal Regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Store Support

  • Communicates with location management on any issues or concerns involving equipment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
